Late Mother's Day

Why did this week go by so fast? 

I haven't posted at all. Since last Thursday, actually. 

I wore this on Saturday to our church's mother/daughter banquet. 

I think everyone's pretty much out of the mother's day mode, but I meant to post this on Monday, and really, moms deserve it everyday. 

I am so thankful for my mom. I hope we can become closer as time goes on, too. 

Same goes for all the moms in my life : grandmas, aunts, great aunts, great grandmas, everyone, even friends' moms.

Burgundy Berry

First of all, I don't really know what color my shirt is supposed to be. 

In real life, it's a darker shade. But it's one of those colors that never shows up like normal in pictures. 

It's almost half burgundy, and half berry. So I am calling it burgundy berry. 

And yes, of course, the day I have no other pictures to use, I realize that I have red eyes.

Yesterday and today have been rainy. 

So yesterday afternoon I decided to watch The Lion, the Witch, And The Wardrobe. It is said the C.S Lewis puts Christian things into his books. 

So, I guess I didn't read the book, but I was trying to find some of the things that are in the movie. 

Not that this has anything to do with my outfit. :) 

I hope everyone had a good Monday. I am just happy that there are only two more Mondays of this school year!

French Braid

My very own first French Braid! :)

I have officially decided that Fridays are 'hair days'. 

I'm going to start very simply (maybe?) with the classic French Braid. 

French braiding can be very tricky at first. The hardest part, as with any braid, is figuring out with way to hold your hands so that it stays together. 

It was very easy for me to learn first on someone else's hair, or doll hair. 

Then, little by little, I started to teach myself how to do my own. It took a long time, but now I can put one in in a matter of minutes. It's well worth the time spent trying. :)

Happy Thursday! 

I am so thankful that tomorrow is Friday. I am looking forward to the weekend very very much! 

I wore this outfit to my sister's art show on Saturday. 

It was so cool to see all the pieces of artwork my sister did while taking art classes at Penn State. I hope she continues because she's really good! :) 

I'm also really liking this quote this week :
